  4. Read pages 317 to 319 of your textbook.
      • Answer the following questions in your Reading/Study Guide.

        • Why did the arts and culture flourish?
        • Describe these art forms: kabuki, haiku, and bunraku.
        • What was the origin of sumo wrestling?
        • How did the shogun try to control these art forms?

  5. When you are finished, proceed to the next page.
