Lesson 1 — Activity 3: Seeing Is Believing

Another way we communicate is through pictures and images. We take pictures and videos to capture special times in our lives. We decorate our rooms with pictures and posters of images we like; we take pictures on our cellphones to share with our friends; we draw or doodle to communicate ideas.

Various images and symbols help us communicate with the people around us.

For example, when you write an e-mail or a text to a friend, you might
include various emoticons to communicate how you are feeling.
