If you've been paying attention so far in the course, you may have wondered, "How come there
are
some words that have sounds that aren't in the Hiragana chart that we learned?"
For example: tabemasu, desu and nomimashou.

In fact, there are MORE sounds than the sounds in the regular Hiragana chart that we learned in Writing 1-4.
Now we will learn the special sounds and once you know them, then you will be able to read and write everything in Hiragana!
The good thing is that the special sounds are all based on the regular Hiragana so it will be quick and easy for you to learn them as long as you have mastered your regular characters!
