Digital Field Trip to Wetlands

Wetlands Ecosystems

In Unit 4, you will be using the Digital Field Trip to Wetlands software to complete many of the activities. This virtual field trip will allow you to visit a wetland without leaving your home or school. 

The Digital Field Trip to Wetlands software is available in two formats;

  •  .exe download that installs on your computer
  • DVD that you purchased with your course materials
Please ensure that you complete one of the following steps prior to starting Unit 4.

Direct Download (setup .exe)


  1. Go to http://download.digitalfrog.com
  2. Find The Digital Field Trip to The Wetlands 2.5e in the chart.
  3. Choose the Mac or Windows download.
  4. Click the download link and save the file.
  5. Open the file and follow the setup instructions.
  6. Install program.
  7. Click on the Digital Frog shortcut that is found on your desktop. If you do not have Quicktime, it will prompt you to install it at this time.
  8. Enter the following username and license code.
      • Username: Student
      • License code: 41fud-uaec8-f34cd-wlfpv

Digital Frog DVD


  1. Insert the DVD in the drive.
  2. Note that your DVD includes all 3 digital fieldtrips, you will ONLY be using the Wetland Fieldtrip for this unit.
  3. If Autoplay is enabled on your computer, your program will start automatically.
  4. If not, double click (My) Computer and double click on the DVD drive.
  5. Double click the 'The Wetlands' folder. (see image 1)
  6. Double click The Wetlands icon. (see image 2)
