Technology for predicting weather is great. But, you do not need technology to make some weather predictions. In the following activities, you will learn how observing the Sun and clouds can help you understand the weather.

Clouds act as a blanket to keep Earth from getting too much sunshine.  They also trap heat in the atmosphere so that the Earth does not become too cold.  Most importantly for weather, they move water from ocean to land.
