Icons



Throughout the course you will encounter icons that are there to help you navigate the course. Here is a list to help you get familiar with these:

Icons Descriptions
This is the Target icon. Identifies what you are to learn in each lesson.
This is the Notebook icon. Identifies when you are required to save files you downloaded as well as assessments documents you created in your Unit Notebook Folder.
This is the Observe icon. Identifies a type of activity you will complete in this course.

This is the Discover icon. Identifies a type of activity you will complete in this course.
This is the Explore icon. Identifies a type of activity you will complete in this course.
This is the Connection icon. Identifies connections to other disciplines.
This is the Checklist icon. Identifies a PDF download of the unit activities and assessments for you to help track your progress.
This is the Skill Builder icon. Identifies links to instructions on 'how to complete' a certain tasks. For example; How to use PowerPoint or How to write a paragraph.
This is the Self-Check icon. Identifies when you are required to correct your own work, check your understanding of a concept or complete a self-assessment to rate your level of understanding of a concept.
This is the Share It icon. Identifies when you are to share on the class discussion board.
This is the Video icon. Identifies a video that you are required to view.
This is the Lesson icon. Identifies the pages on which important content is presented.
This is the Exit Pass icon. Identifies activities that your teacher will use to check your understanding. These are NOT for marks.
This is the Assessment icon. Identifies assignments that are for marks.
This is the Rubric icon. Identifies a PDF download that will outline the expectations of the assessment.
