A Little Background on Light
Completion requirements
Light and Shadows
Often, we do not notice light until we need more of it. You see light everyday coming from many sources. Light may come from natural sources such as the sun or a fire. Humans are also able to produce artificial light such as the kind from a light bulb or from a cell phone or computer screen.

Light allows us to see what is around us. If someone asks you, "What is
light", how would you answer the question? You cannot feel it, smell
it, or touch it. Definitely, you can see it and you notice when light
is dim or lacking.
You will be examining more about light in this unit. You will determine where light comes from, how it travels, and how it interacts with other objects and materials. You will see the many interesting things you can do with light and how we truly would not be able to live without it.
