1. The object is translucent.  The light has been transmitted through the blue glass bottle, but in the process the light is blue, and is creating a blue shadow.
2.  The Sun's position must be close to the horizon (low in the sky), because the shadow is quite long.  If the Sun were high in the sky the shadow would be small, and very close to the person's feet.
3.  The light source must be fairly close to the plant, because the shadow is much larger than the plant.  As the light source gets closer to the plant, the shadow gets bigger.  The light source must also be pointed up at the plant, since the shadow is above the plant.  When a light source is pointed up at an object, the shadow moves up.
