Discover - Plants and the Environment

You learned in the previous activity that plants have many uses for humans.  They have an equally important role in their own natural environments.  Through the process of photosynthesis, plants produce oxygen.  Plants provide nutrients to humans and animals.  They can prevent erosion of the soil.  Without some of the things they do, many animals and plants would not be able to live and grow.
