What waste is brought here? |
1. Waste to Biofuel |
Solid waste that cannot be recycled or composted and has traditionally been sent to landfill. This household garbage is transformed into biofuels or biochemicals. |
2. Composting |
Stuff that decomposes such as food waste and grass clippings are brought here, composted, and turned into nutrient rich soil. |
3. Materials Recovery |
Recyclable materials such as bottles, paper, and cans brought here. Sorting done here. |
4. E-Waste Recycling |
Old computers and electronics are brought here. They are recycled by being broken into pieces of plastic and metal; then, new products can be made. |
5. Construction and Demolition Recycling |
Wood, metal, drywall, asphalt, cement, ceramics, plastics. They sort this material and recycle what they can, reuse what they can and send the remains to other facilities at the centre for disposal. |
