Completion requirements
How Will You Be Marked?
Formative Assessment (not for marks)
Each Unit has three or four Sections and each Section has three to five Lessons. At the end of each Lesson there is a "Self-Check". These "Self-Check" activities are formative assessment and do not count for marks. The intention of these activities is to help you to know that you are on the right track and moving towards the learning outcomes.
There are also 60 practice worksheets as part of "Try It!" activities in the course, these worksheets do not count for marks.
Summative Assessment (for marks)
In each unit there are five summative assessments. THESE COUNT FOR MARKS. These are the activities that will allow you to demonstrate your learning and will be used by your teacher for grading purposes. Each section in the course ends with a summative assessment, which
may be an online quiz or a project.
At the end of each unit there is a larger test or project which you must complete.
