Final Exam Instructions

General Exam Instructions

The Final Exam includes content from the entire Math 30-1 course. Once all of your Assignments and Quizzes have been graded, and you have read your marker's feedback, you may write the Final Exam.

The exam is a, closed-book, supervised exam. You have 3 hours to complete the Final Exam. The exam includes multiple choice, numerical response and written response questions. A formula sheet will be provided for the exam.

Reviewing For Your Final Exam

For each topic covered on the Final Exam:
  • Review the topic using the course notes, the Pre-Calculus 12 textbook, the multimedia page, or the internet.
  • Once you have reviewed the topic, try a few related practice questions you have not completed before.  Use only a formula sheet and calculator to answer these.
    • If you are able to complete the questions successfully without any external support, you are ready to move on.  Repeat the process for the next topic.
    • If you have trouble with the questions, try reviewing more or contacting your teacher.  Repeat the review process for this topic again until you are able to answer a few practice questions successfully using only your calculator and formula sheet.
  • Here is a diploma exam study guide that can also be used to prepare for your final exam.
