Course work for Social Studies 30-1 is divided among 8 units. The 33 gradeables or assessments serve several purposes:
The feedback given by a teacher in response to your work is designed to further your understanding and help you achieve excellence. Rubrics, or scoring criteria, will be used for evaluating assignments. Please read these carefully
before submitting your work.
A student's course grade is made up of the following categories: 7 Forum Postings 7% 8 Unit Reviews (all multiple choice) 12% 15 Assignments (multiple tasks) 41% Supervised Midterm Exam (Units 1-4) 20% 25 multiple-choice, source analysis & position paper. Supervised Final Exam (Units 5-8) 20% Same structure as Midterm Exam
