What are the regions of Canada like?
Have you tried driving across Canada? At a comfortable pace, it takes two weeks.
Rick Hansen tried something different because he cannot walk. Instead, he wheeled his wheelchair across Canada from Cape Spear, Newfoundland, to Ottawa, to Alberta and ended in Vancouver, BC. This trip took from August 26, 1986 to May 22, 1987, almost one year! Again, in August 24, 2011 to May 22, 2012, Rick Hansen travelled 1200 km and revisited 600 communities throughout Canada.
