Practice using a scale to determine distances.


  1. Use any map of Canada you can find – a road map, an atlas, online, etc. (you may use the map on P. 351 of your textbook)
  2. Make a paper scale to match the scale diagram on the map.
  3. Then, figure out some distances between cities, landmarks, provincial borders, etc.
