Ongoing Activity-Large Map of Canada



Open your Large Map of Canada Chart that you saved in your Unit 1 Notebook.

Add information to the Canadian Shield Region portion of the chart to show important information about the area.  You should include information that will tell about:


  1. The geography of the region including the names of the provinces, three significant landforms, and climate.
  2. The history of the region such as three groups who settled this region and three significant historical events.
  3. Three natural resources in the region, how they are used and conserved.
  4. Three ways the people affected the natural environment and two ways the natural environment affected the people in the region.



You may add pictures to the chart. 


Save your chart in your Unit 1 Notebook, you will add to it during each of the next three units. You do NOT submit it at this time.
