Inquiry

What is the geography of the Cordillera Region ?

Mountain belts, 800 km long along Canada's Pacific coast, make up the Cordillera region.  Trees in this region grow to large sizes, the size of thirty story buildings.  However, at higher elevations, the trees and shrubs become smaller.

The climate of the region is influenced by the Pacific Ocean, so it is moist and mild.  Usually, winters are above freezing.

Resources in the region include logging, fishing, mining, farming, and tourism.  British Columbia has the closest shipping ports to Asia.
