Ongoing Activity-Large Map of Canada



Open your Large Map of Canada Chart that you saved in your Unit 1 Notebook.

Add pictures and information to the Cordillera Region portion of the chart to show important information about the area.  You should include pictures and information that will tell about:


  1. The geography of the region including the Rocky Mountains, Pacific Ocean, Great Bear Rainforest, key rivers and islands, and capitals of the province and territory.
  2. The history of the region.
  3. The resources in the region and how they are being used and conserved.
  4. The effects people have on the geography and how the geography affects people.



You may include pictures of the Cordillera region.


Save your chart in your Unit 1 Notebook, you will add to it during the next unit. You do NOT submit it at this time.
