Chapter 1 Summary

  • Read “Chapter 1 Summary” on page 463 of the textbook. Remember to use one of the given options to make your own summary of the key concepts and important chapter terms.
The Summary Assignment is for your use.  Be wise about deciding what to do and what not to do.  The relevant questions have been carefully chosen.  An average student will look over the questions and do the ones they are not sure of, leaving others undone when confident in their understanding.  Some question may appear on assessments.


  • Turn to “Chapter 1 Review Questions” on pages 464 to 467 of the textbook. Do questions 1 - 7, 9 to 15, 17 to 21, 24, 26 to 31.
