The Great Debate:  What if we Preserve Forests by Leaving Them Alone?

     

Humans have practiced various forestry techniques for thousands years. but how human actions can best benefit forests still causes disagreements and arguments. Some people believe humans should leave the environment alone.

Some environmentalists argue that human actions are destructive. They suggest nature should not be touched. This is the purpose of national parks: to preserve wilderness for everyone to enjoy. Everyone has benefitted and will continue to benefit from preserved land. Some people argue forestry should be stopped. We should not buy from companies that use forest products. The government should control forests and the products we purchase from them.
