Introduction
Spanish-speaking students have their own texting language just like we do in English.
Here are some of the letters that are sent as shortcuts while texting for words in Spanish.
Do you know how those letters are pronounced in Spanish? Watch the video for an introduction of the names of the letters in Spanish - press pause to say the letters out loud and then press play to see if you got it right.
The speaker on the first example (ak) says "acá" in the recording but it is written "aquÃ" when you click play to hear it - there are two ways to say here - aquà and acá - acá is more casual/slang.

Most of the letters of the Spanish alphabet are similar to the letters of the English alphabet. However, when you pronounce them in Spanish, the sounds are different. You have to learn how to pronounce the letters and words correctly so people can clearly understand what you say.
