2.2 Lección 2.2 – Feelings About School

Introduction

Listen and create your own answer:
¿Quién es tu maestro favorito? ¿Qué clase te gusta más?

You could reply with something like:  "Mi maestra favorita es la señora Lopez.  Me gusta más la clase de arte."
Take a minute to come up with your own answers - practice them aloud as you learn the vocabulary you need in this Lesson.
(Notice the word order, and the adjective agreement - you will need these details in your Practice Quiz and your Assignment)

Not everyone likes all of their classes, but most people have a favorite teacher or class. Who is your favorite teacher? Which classes do you like the most? Is it English, art, or science? Is it la clase de español (Spanish class)? Did you notice that many of the words in the introduction are cognates? Look at these words:

  • inglés
  • arte
  • ciencias
  • matemáticas
  • educación física
  • español

  • Can you guess what they mean in English? Hint: If you can't tell by looking at them, say them out loud. Some of them sound like their English translations.

If you had to go to school in a Spanish-speaking country, which class do you think would be the most difficult for you?
In this lesson, you will learn to express your feelings and opinions about school.
