To understand time phrases in announcements and in conversations, we need to be able to recall numbers quickly - we have no time to count them out on our fingers!

Grab a pen and a scrap of paper to jot down the 5 numbers you hear as a quick review before we learn more details about telling time.  (If you actually write them down, you will use a different part of your brain, which will really help you learn these.)

The expression ¿Qué hora es? literally translates to What hour is it? But in English, we say What time is it? Use this expression to ask the time of day. There are different ways to express time in Spanish. Learn the different ways with the video below.
