You already watched the video blog about Marisa and her friend Andrea. You saw how Marisa used rephrasing in the video to help Andrea understand her.
For example, in the video, our blogger said:
Marisa: No Andrea, no estoy mal. Tampoco estoy triste.
Andrea: ¿Qué?
Marisa: Estoy bien, pero tengo mucho calor.
Now, read the following sentences from the blog and rephrase them using the estar and tener expressions from this lesson. Imagine that you are the one having the conversation with Andrea.
- You tell Andrea: "Tengo mucha hambre." She responds: "Repite, por favor." What would you say?
- You tell Andrea: "Estoy emocionado (or emocionada)." She responds: "¿Qué?" How would you rephrase what you said to help her understand what you are trying to express?
