About the Author

My name is Marisa. I just started this Wiki to be able to share what I am learning about Cuba. I was able to visit La Habana, the capital of Cuba, recently.

Each tab has a photo and some information about some amazing places in Havana or as we call it - La Habana.

The Plaza de la Revolucíon is one of the world's largest city squares.

There is a tribute to Che Guevara.

What I like most about this plaza is the José Marti Memorial. It has a 358 foot tall tower and a 59 foot statue of José Marti.

From the observation deck on the top floor of this tower, I saw an incredible view of the city!

The Parque Central, also know as Parque José Marti, is located in La Habana, the capital of Cuba.

This large park dates back to 1903 and is full of exotic trees and royal palms.

La Habana is full of museums.

During my visit to the city, I went to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana (The National Museum of Fine Arts ).

It is a museum with Cuban art collections from colonial to contemporary times.

El Catedral de San Cristóbal de La Habana (Cathedral of Saint Christopher of Havana) is amazing!

It was constructed in the 18th century in the Italian baroque style.
