Review Units One, Two, Three and Four of the Spanish 10 course to prepare for the Midterm exam. If you have trouble with any of the concepts, you should consider going back to review those units before you continue.

Unit Review

Unit One

In Unit One you learned about cognates, the alphabet, and to greet and describe others. Be sure to review all new vocabulary, culture and grammar concepts. Here are some of the concepts you learned in Unit One:

• word borrowing
• cognates and false cognates
• where Spanish is spoken
• letter sounds
• greetings and exchanging information
• numbers to 30
• the verb ser
• adjectives

Unit Two

In Unit Two you learned about school. Be sure to review all new vocabulary, culture and grammar concepts. Here are some of the concepts you learned in Unit Two:

• definite and indefinite articles
• expressing likes and dislikes
• telling time
• numbers to 100
• -ar verbs
• subject pronouns
• formal and informal pronouns

  Unit Three

In Unit Three you learned about family and occupations. Be sure to review all new vocabulary, culture and grammar concepts. Here are some of the concepts you learned in Unit Three:

• adjective agreement
• possessive adjectives
• the preposition de
• tener que expressions
• estar
• how to say the date and someone's age
• the verb gustar
• the verb ser
• when to use ser and estar
• the verb tener

Unit Four

In Unit Four you learned about the home and the community. Be sure to review all new vocabulary, culture and grammar concepts. Here are some of the concepts you learned in Unit Four:

• the verb estar
• hay
• -er verbs
• -ir verbs
• the verb ir
• ir + a + infinitive
• tener que + infinitive

Interrogative Expressions:

You will be answering many questions - do you know what all of these mean?
You will also be asking some questions in writing on your exam.

There is Listening Comprehension section on the exam - so be prepared for that with your headphones.

All of the questions are multiple choice and all of the correct answers are provided.

Midterm Exam Are you ready for the Midterm Exam?  If you don't think you are ready, review the content again. This exam must be written under teacher supervision. - there are no resources permitted during the exam.  When you are ready, contact your teacher to have the online midterm exam released to your supervisor.
