Sandra is at the mall shopping with her friend Ariana and would like to share her experience with you. She is in the zapatería and very proud that she learned enough Spanish to speak about prices for her new sandals. Now that you have learned numbers and how to ask for prices, read the script and see how Sandra is able to negotiate the price of her new sandals.

As you read, write down the prices mentioned.    


Scene 1: Sandra is walking into a department store.

Ariana: Sandra, vamos de compras al almacén nuevo. Se llama De Moda.

Sandra: ¡Buena idea! Necesito sandalias nuevas y no quiero gastar mucho dinero.

Ariana: Este almacén tiene buena selección de zapatos en muchos colores.



Scene 2: Shoe section of the department store.

Sandra: ¡Mira, Ariana! Me gustan muchísimo estas sandalias. Son amarillas y blancas. Son perfectas para mi vestido amarillo.

Ariana: Sí, pero ¿Cuánto cuestan? ¿Son caras?

Sandra: Cuestan _________ pesos. Sí son muy caras. Sólo quiero pagar _______ pesos. Voy a hablar con el cajero.



Scene 3: Sandra walks over to the cashier.
