Practice Ordering in a Restaurant

Your Spanish teacher has given you an assignment called ¡Tremenda Tarea!

You are required to go out to eat a meal in this authentic Colombian restaurant and speak only in Spanish.
You have decided to invite your friend Robert to come with you. No one in the restaurant speaks English and Robert doesn’t know any Spanish! It’s up to you to talk to the waiter and order lunch for yourself and Robert.

Fortunately, you were able to look at the menu on-line before going to the restaurant.
Colombian restaurants often serve juice made fresh to order.

• Robert really likes fresh juice and his favorite fruit is strawberry.
  
• He also loves chicken dishes, but he doesn’t like seafood or salads.
  
• He has heard about fried plantain and is curious about how it might taste, so remember to consider the appetizers.
  
• No Colombian meal is complete without dessert! Robert loves all kinds of cake. He is really hungry!
