6.3 Conjugated Verbs



Look at the following verb conjugations and notice their irregularities.
  • Traer has an irregular spelling change in the yo form (we call these Yo-Go verbs - there are many more like this - you already know Tengo.) 
  • Servir is a stem-changing verb - do you notice the spelling change in the stem/root of the word? (there are many more of these, as well.)

Traer

traer → to bring 
Yo traigo  Nosotros/Nosotras traemos 
Tú traes  Vosotros/Vosotras traéis 
Él/Ella/Usted trae  Ellos/Ellas/Uds traen 

Dar

dar → to give 
Yo doy  Nosotros/Nosotras damos 
Tú das  Vosotros/Vosotras dais 
Él/Ella/Usted da  Ellos/Ellas/Uds dan 

Servir

Servir is a stem-changing verb. The e changes to an i in all but the nosotros and vosotros forms.

servir → to serve 
Yo sirvo  Nosotros/Nosotras servimos 
Tú sirves  Vosotros/Vosotras servís 
Él/Ella/Usted sirve  Ellos/Ellas/Uds sirven
