These assessments have been designed to be as close to real life as possible to show the relationships between math and everyday life. You can ask your teacher for clarification or to verify your thought processes. Ultimately, the work must be your own.
This course has 4 Keeping It Real Assessments from which you must choose 2.
Part A - Budgeting for Fun
Part B - Mathtracker
Part C - Burger Shack
Part D - Dream Room
Each assessment contains elements of creativity, but remember that the math is the important part of each assessment. Each assessment should take you 1 to 2 hours to complete.
You will need to have two Keeping It Real Assessments complete prior to writing Exam Two.

There are two exams in Math 10-3. Both exams are open book. Exams must be written under approved supervision.
Exam One covers the content from the lessons in Units A and B (Chapters 1-4) and should be written upon the completion of these units.
Exam Two covers the content from the lessons in Units C and D (Chapters 5-8) and should be written upon the completion of these units. Exam Two cannot be written until two Keeping It Real Assessments have been completed.
Combined the Exam One and Exam Two replace a typical final exam.
