Statements and terms that summarize the content in the lesson.

Practice Makes Perfect


Opportunity to practise the skills you just learned or reviewed. Complete solutions provided at the end of each practice page.

Break Time


Multimedia that reinforces or reviews the lesson material, or games that require strategy and mathematical thinking.

Chapter Assignment


Assessment for and of learning; presented as individual lessons assignments; makes up the Assignment portion of your grade.

Keeping It Real Assessment


Completed at the end of each unit as a summative assessment of your understanding; may involve creativity; based on real-world scenarios.

Exams 1 and 2


Assessment of your understanding of course material using multiple-choice, numeric-response, and short-answer questions. (Exam 1 is based on Units A and B, and Exam 2 is based on Units C and D; both must be supervised and both are openbook.)
