Hint:
Amount earned = rate of pay × number of hours
Let 'r' be the rate of pay.
$604.80 = r × 40 hours

  1. Ismar works in the meat department at a grocery store that pays him $12.32/hour. He would like to buy a used snowmobile. At his job, how many hours would it take to earn enough to buy a $5,000.00 snowmobile?
