Unit D: Geometry
Chapter 8 - Similar Polygons
Lesson 1 - Similar Polygons Basics

Have you ever seen Russian nesting dolls? They were designed as an
educational toy, and were first made in Russia, in 1890, by a man named
Sava Mamontov. The real name of the dolls sounds like 'Matryoshka',
which is a combination of a common girl's name among peasants and the
word for 'Mother'. The little dolls look like a peasant mother and her
family.

The Goal
Here are the things you will do in this lesson.
- Determine if two or more triangles are similar
- Determine if two or more regular or irregular polygons are similar
- Explain relationships between side and angle measures of regular and irregular polygons
