Mathematics 20-1 Course Components Breakdown


Each Unit is organized into three, four, or five Lessons. In each Lesson, you will encounter the following components.

In Lesson X.X, you will learn about

  • Review of skills (from prerequisite courses or previous units in Mathematics 20-1)




  • New mathematical concepts and instruction for the Lesson




  Investigation


  • Investigation of Mathematics 20-1 course concepts

  • Highlights essential skills and concepts for the Lesson

  • Examples related to key ideas in the Lesson




  Multimedia

The Practice section provides exercise questions and allows you to self-reflect on your conceptual understanding of the Lesson skills. You will assess your work after each Practice section in each Unit. You will assess your work in the Practices using the following rubric.
