Similar to arithmetic sequences, a general term can be written for geometric sequences.
\(t_n = t_1 r^{n - 1} \)
\(t_1 \) is the first term
\(r \) is the common ratio \(\left( {r = \frac{{t_n }}{{t_{n - 1} }}} \right) \)
\(n \) is the number of terms
