In Unit 3, you have widened your knowledge of radicals from mainly square roots and cube roots to more complex radical expressions and equations. Remember that anytime you have an equation with a variable raised to an exponent, you will use radicals to solve the equation. And, if given an equation with a variable in the radicand, you must raise the radical to an exponent equal to the index in order to remove the radical.
