- Experiment with a variety of strategies, activities, and resources to explore ideas, observations, opinion, experiences and emotions (1.1.2 b)
- Analyze and assess images in print and non-print texts in terms of created reality and appropriateness to purpose and audience (2.3.2 e)
- Know and be able to apply spelling conventions consistently and independently (4.2.4 c)
- Assess and revise texts in progress to ensure the correct use of clauses and phrases, including verbal phrases (participle, gerund, and infinitive), and to ensure the correct use of structural features (such as appositives and parallel structures) (4.2.4 g)
- Pay particular attention to punctuation, spelling, grammar, usage, and sentence construction when using unfamiliar vocabulary, complex syntax, and sophisticated rhetorical devices (4.2.4 h)
