  • What is courage?  What is strength?   
  • Does it take courage to overcome difficulties and gain respect from others? Does it take courage to care for others when they are not willing to care for you?

Go to pages 18 to 22 of Literacy in Action 5.


Look at the headings and pictures in the story.

Write down what you predict this story will be about on the Reader's Notebook: For the Love of the Game.
