What Does it Mean to Show Respect?

Game

Compound Words

Compound words are made by putting two smaller words together to make one word. For example, if you put together the words class and room, you get the word classroom.

Here are some examples of compound words from "For the Love of the Game":

  • baseball
  • without
  • everyone
  • carefree
  • townspeople
  • friendships

Game

Go to the website, Learning Games for Kids, and play the "Break It Up!" game.

In this game, you move a red line to show where the compound word can be broken up. Read the instructions on the website before you begin the game.
