Lesson 11: End of Unit 1 Activity - Part A
Completion requirements
Unit 1
What Does it Mean to Show Respect?
Lesson 11
Reader's Notebook
What is Respect?
You began this unit by completing a chart that lists ways that you show respect to yourself, others, and your environment. You were then given three questions to think about:
- Why is it important to show respect?
- How do you show respect for yourself? For others? For your environment such as school, property, animals, nature etc.?
- In what ways have people worked to gain respect?
You were also given an essential unit question that was written at the top of each lesson page: What does it mean to show respect?
For your final Reader's Notebook page of this unit, you will write your answers to these questions.
- There are no right or wrong answers.
- Think about what you have learned about respect since the beginning of the unit.
- You may want to look back at other Reader's Notebook pages or lessons to help you answer the questions.
- You can record your answers on the Reader's Notebook: End of Unit 1.
- Remember to write at least one complete sentence for each question, unless the question asks for more information.
