This unit focuses on non-fiction, science based, informational texts. You will learn how to: 

• read informational text
• use effective reading strategies such as ask questions, make use of prior knowledge (what you already know about the subject), do a word study with homophones
• write effective sentences 
• organize ideas in summaries, outlines, and paragraphs.

You will plan and write a scientific report.
