Presentation
Presentation is about how a finished product looks to the reader.
The choices of presentation elements (for example, fonts, graphics, and layout) help attract attention, engage interest, and effectively communicate ideas to the reader.
Writers and illustrators try to present their work in a clear and interesting way to engage the reader. A sample checklist for an effective presentation is:
- presents information in a clear, organized way
- includes a variety of visual features
- uses an interesting layout to attract reader's attention
- makes the reader want to learn more about the topic

- There are many different presentation styles that are effective. Before you hand in your explanation use the criteria above to make sure you have presented your explanation in the best way possible.
- Once you have completed your science explanation, answer Questions 1 to 3 in the After Reading section of the Reader's Notebook: Presentation.
