The focus of this selection is a charity called Right to Play. They believe that play increases the physical, social and emotional growth of children.

Open Literacy in Action 5B to page 18. Preview the selection, making sure to pay attention to the titles, headings and captions under the pictures.

You will be using the reading strategy of using what you know to answer Questions 1 and 2 in the Before Reading section on the Reader’s Notebook: When Children Play, the World Wins worksheet.
