The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle

You may have already heard of the part of the Atlantic Ocean called the Bermuda Triangle. It is an area of the ocean between Miami, Puerto Rico and Bermuda.

Many people, ships, and aircraft have disappeared there, and so many strange things have happened there that some people call it the Devil's Triangle.

The US Coast Guard suggests the Gulf Stream, a warm ocean current that is swift and turbulent is responsible for erasing any evidence of a disaster.

The area is in โ€œhurricane alley.โ€  The bottom of the ocean is in a constant state of change and there are always new hazards developing.  The clouds are Floridaโ€™s Gold Coast is the most densely populated area in the world and many ships and planes travel to the Bahamas. It is more likely a boat will be lost in this area than a place less travelled.

In this story, you will get the chance to learn more about the Bermuda Triangle. You'll also read about some of the ships and airplanes that have disappeared there.
