Reflecting on Your Reading
Think back to the story you just read.
The story was told from a specific point of view; that is, a certain character told the story and you read the story through that character's eyes. If a character tells the story using pronouns I, me, and my the point of view is first person. But if the story is told using he, she, and they pronouns, the story is told from the third person point of view.
But what if the story had been told from a different character's point of view? How would the story have changed?
Go on to answer questions about the story you just read. These questions ask how the story would be different if a different character told the story.

Think about these questions:
- Think of three ways in which the story would change if Lina's mother told the story.
- Why would the author want to write the story from the mother's point of view?

Think about these questions:
- Think of three ways in which the mysterious person who wrote the words on the wall would tell the story.
