L1 Classifying Polygons
Completion requirements
Unit A: Geometry
Chapter 1: Polygons
To name a polygon, first count the sides. Then, use the following table.
This table provides only a few polygon names of the unlimited number of sides polygons can have. These are the names that you are expected to know for Math 30-3.

Classifying Polygons
The Classifying Polygons applet shows how the angles and shapes change depending on the number of sides of the polygon. The applet can be used to view different regular polygons that have up to «math xmlns=¨http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML¨»«mn»14«/mn»«/math» sides.Skill Builder
For more information on substituting values into algebraic expressions and equations, click the Skill Builder button to access the Skill Builder page. Note that the first example in the Video shown has an error - When you hear the word Area, it is actually supposed to be Perimeter, and the A for Area in the formula being used should be a P for Perimeter instead.
