L2 Translations
Completion requirements
Unit A: Geometry
Chapter 2: Transformations
In the last lesson, dilations (enlargements or reductions) were studied.

A dilation is a type of transformation. A transformation is the movement of an object by changing its position, size, and/or shape. In dilations, the size of the object is changed. In a translation, the position of a shape or object is changed.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to
- identify a translation that was performed, given the original 2D shape or 3D object and its image
- draw the image of a 2D shape that results from a given translation
