An image of an object can be viewed in a mirror. A reflection is a transformation (movement) that creates a mirror image of the original shape or object.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to
- identify a reflection that was performed, given the original 2D shape or 3D object and its image
- draw the image of a 2D shape that results from a reflection
- draw the image of a 2D shape that results from a combination of a reflection and translation
- explain the relationship between reflections and lines or planes of symmetry
