Course Components Breakdown

A. Module

Each Module begins with an introduction to the unit. It is then organized into three, four, or five lessons. In each lesson, you will encounter the following components:

  • Lesson introduction with a list of outcomes for the lesson
  • Review of skills (from prerequisite courses or previous units in Mathematics 20-2)
  • Examples related to key ideas in the lesson

  • Sample problems for immediate review of the lesson concepts, followed by full solutions on the next page.

Coach's Corner provides practice and allows you to self-reflect on your conceptual understanding of the Lesson skills. Assessment of your work in Coach's Corner will be combined into two overall completion marks, one for Workbook A and one for Workbook B . Your work for the Coach's Corner in each Workbook will be assessed according to the rubric in the Assessment tab at the top of this page.

Complete Coach's Corner exercises using your best work, showing all relevant steps needed to arrive at your solution. Refer to the Module to review Lesson instructions. Contact your teacher for assistance or clarification as needed, or to investigate the topic further.

Check and correct your work using the solutions provided in Equipment Room in the Module .

After you have assessed your work, reflect on your understanding of the concepts addressed in the Coach's Corner exercises in the table provided.

The practice of assessing and reflecting on your own work helps you to gauge your understanding of the Lesson material. As always, contact your teacher for assistance or clarification as needed, or to investigate the topic further.
