Lesson 1.2: Radicals and Operations

Physicists and engineers use operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing to simplify radical expressions in order to shorten calculations. These calculations, in long form, can take up to a page. Knowing how to simplify radical expression not only saves lots of paper, but also makes for a more efficient solution.

In Lesson 1.2, you will learn

  • how to add and subtract radicals
  • how to multiply and divide radicals
  • about radicals with variable radicands
